  • If the inbox folder of your Hotmail account is full, you will not be able to receive new messages.

  • For filtering, you will need to select the Filter option and click on the “what type of messages you want to see” option.
  • For sorting, you will need to go to Filter > Sort by option and select the option according to which you wish to sort by.
  • If you wish to look for recent messages, you will need to sort by Date. Similarly, if you wish to check for messages from a specific person, sort by From.

Focused Inbox divides your inbox into two separate tabs – Focused and Other, to let you focus on the emails that are most important to you. If Focused Inbox is enabled, some emails delivered to you could be in the Other tab. Right-click on any email which you wish to move to Focused tab and select Move to Focused inbox or Always move to Focused inbox folder. This also lets Focused Inbox to learn which email should go to the Focused tab always.

  1. Check your Blocked Senders and Safe Senders Lists

  • Go to Settings (gear icon) option and select View all Outlook settings
  • Next, select the Mail option and click on the Junk email
  • If you find the email address of the sender listed under Blocked senders and domains section, you will need to select their email address and click Remove (Trash icon) option. After that, click Save.
  • If the email address of the sender is not in your Blocked senders list, you can add them to Safe senders and domains Email from contacts in the Safe Senders list will never go to the Junk Email folder.
  • Then, you will need to click on the Settings option (gear icon) and select View all Outlook settings
  • After that, select Mail, and then click on the Junk email
  • Enter the email address of the sender in the provided field and then select the Add Finally, click on the Save option.
